San Antonio, TX: Cruising Kitchens is proud to announce their newest build for the Van Buren School District in Arkansas. The Cruising Kitchens crew renovated an empty truck into a custom, mobile kitchen that will provide healthy meals for 6,000 students within the school district. The food truck has been supplied with necessary cooking equipment including a griddle, an oven and a fryer, as well as a sandwich prep table. According to the director of child nutrition for the district, the food truck will allow the schools to continue to provide the, “very best food experience for its students.”
A major benefit of a traveling kitchen is that it can be used wherever and whenever it is needed. The Van Buren School District plans to use the food truck for its summer feeding program as well as at sporting events, festivals, and various other district functions. They even plan to increase their reach to all students through free or reduced-price meals for those who are eligible. Cruising Kitchens is honored to provide this food truck to the Van Buren School District.
