Tiff’s Treats is a prime example of building a business from scratch, and we’re not just talking about their freshly baked cookies. Tiffany Chen started her bakery business in college with $20, a cell-phone, and the support of her now husband and business partner, Leon Chen. A little over 20 years later, the company has expanded to 60 stores, 1500 employees, and now, a “rolling bakery.”
Cruising Kitchens was an easy choice for Tiff’s Treats when choosing the company to build their mobile asset. “I’ve watched CK grow into an incredible brand and when it came down to it, we wanted to build with the best! We needed someone who was creative, reliable, and had an amazing team behind them, CK was it,” says Director of Sales for Tiff’s, Zach Medlin.
The primary use of the truck is to implement a new marketing strategy that will not only allow them to expand their name into other markets, but also be a rolling billboard for what their brand represents; fresh cookies delivered warm. This asset will also be used to support marketing events, as well as a backup kitchen on busy holidays.
This truck is a full kitchen on wheels with 22 ft out of the 30 ft being kitchen space. It has dual convection ovens, a custom grill, a marine-grade sound system, a 75” fold out hydraulic tv, along with a custom 3D light-up letter sign, with a finishing touch of a 12 foot bow on top.
“When people see our truck, the cookies and artwork literally make you want to try a cookie. They see the giant 12 foot bow and signs on the side of the truck and are impressed by our brand. Cameron and his team created a marketing asset that can actually compete with that “warm cookie moment,” Zach goes on to say.
“Our build process was painless. Everyone we dealt with was communicative, professional, and made sure that we were happy every step of the way,” says Zach. In less than 8 weeks from the initial call to start this project, Cameron Davies and the Cruising Kitchens family worked diligently to get this mobile bakery activated.
